For GeekSpeak.org we are using the Twitter Bootstrap...

Bootstrap is a sleek, intuitive, and powerful front-end framework for faster and easier web development...

It is HTML, CSS, and JavaScript baseline that "suggests" you do it a specific way. So, if you want to participate on the design of GeekSpeak look through the Twitter Bootstrap examples as your components and such.
