This is still 2 separate changes, neither of which is NFC. Why do you want to enable internalization on the asan library? The functions really should have external linkage for the sanitizer pass to emit calls to them.

asanrtl.bc correctly emit functions with external linkage after internal patch . Most of the symbols in asanrtl.bc have attribute((used)) in them. Their definitions persist even with internalization enabled . Does enabling internalization of |

The first old previous PR 179636 will only introduce changes like removing the forced linking of asanrtl.bc and ockl.bc for OpenMP only and add support in the driver to link the openmp asan instrumented GPU device library(i.e libompdevice.a with asan symbols).
Just like other bitcode libs such as ockl.bc ocml.bc, link asanrtl.bc with '-mlink-builtin-bitcode' in the driver when GPU ASan is enabled.
This reverts commit 35e63d2efd6ba4bbd435f6ce94f11ac93b574a86.

I think this is busted, compiler passes cannot reasonably emit calls to internal, non-ABI functions. But I guess it probably works in practice if the sanitizer lowering happens immediately before any linking. This is also consistency broken with every function, and we're already doing special case hacks for the sanitizer functions. If we had functioning compiler libraries, this should be added once in the final link invocation
