Independent security review (inherited-model reviewer, read-only) of 66a0716: PASS-WITH-NITS. No caller header can gain credential authority (allowlisted UA/X-App/session/X-Stainless-* only, printable ASCII, 512 B per value / 4 KiB total, first-party https api.anthropic.com only); no cross-request leak (per-request WeakMap handle, UUID only on the per-request binding and wire body, logs keep the local slot id); UUID rewrite never reaches key-auth, compatible-host or caller-forward destinations; retries rebuild from the unchanged source body; tests assert the physical send. behavior for requests without a genuine client identity, and leave the
pooled-account Responses bridge behavior unchanged.

Scoped intake at 552cb92: I inspected the request-local metadata/identity helpers and the serving-generation handoff, not a new security scan. The prior independent review comment names 66a0716, whereas this head additionally changes operator-header precedence and the bearer-override guard, so keep review/checkpoint provenance explicit. Please resolve the current protocol-paths wording thread: native Messages are admitted only on the eligible unpooled OAuth lane; the new physical-send fixture switches which one account is eligible rather than demonstrating pooled-bridge continuity. Do not describe the existing pooled Responses bridge as covered by these native-only helpers. I have not completed a full independent boundary approval of the 18-file patch and am not waiving it or claiming live account/refresh verification. |
|
Verified the docs-only delta at 4666a2c: identity continuity is now scoped to refresh and eligible unpooled native account switches, with pooled accounts explicitly remaining on the Responses bridge. That addresses my documentation request. This acknowledgement is limited to that delta; it does not turn the earlier 66a0716 review checkpoint into approval of the later runtime guards or waive the remaining independent boundary review. |

Maintainer integration decision (dev, admin bypass per MAINTAINERS.md): merging at exact head 4666a2c.

Summary
On the native first-party Claude Code lane (Claude Code → OpenCodex → Anthropic with a stored Claude OAuth credential), two parts of the request could disagree with the credential that actually served it:
metadata.user_idcarries the Claude Code client'saccount_uuid. When OpenCodex serves the request with a different stored OAuth credential, the bearer and the metadata named different accounts. The account UUID inside the JSON-stringmetadata.user_idis now rewritten copy-on-write to the selected credential's provider UUID. Device and session components, the rest of the body and any tool payloads are untouched; absent or unknown formats pass through unchanged; a local slot ID never replaces a provider UUID; each retry starts from a fresh copy (src/adapters/anthropic/account-metadata.ts).src/adapters/anthropic/client-identity.ts). Credential, duplicate, oversized, hop-by-hop and proxy headers never gain forwarding authority; credential placement stays proxy-owned; caller-forward, API-key and third-party destinations keep their existing contracts. This follows the behavior of KarpelesLab/teamclaude (MIT) for serving-account consistency; no code was ported.
Verification
tests/adapters/anthropic/anthropic-account-metadata.test.ts(valid metadata, missing UUID, malformed metadata, unrelated account_uuid in text/tool input, A→B retry, input immutability, slot-ID refusal) andanthropic-client-identity.test.ts(refresh keeps the session ID, distinct sessions stay distinct, credential/duplicate/oversized/hop-by-hop headers refused), plus physical-send assertions inmessages-native-oauth.test.tsandclaude-native-passthrough.test.ts. Disabling either helper makes the new tests fail.bun run typecheck, structure:check, privacy:scan, file-size ratchet, test-layout, core-Lab boundary, docs-site build: pass.bun run test:changed: 3241 pass / 1 skip / 0 fail.bun run testdid not finish locally inside 900 s under worktree contention (api-debug hang, sandbox lease tests); left to CI.Checklist
