Build with nasm fails

I'm attempting to build libass for mpv using mpv-build, and while building I encounter this error on my x86_64 machine:

nasm is freshly built from git source, and I have not encountered such issues on x86, which is odd to me.

Is this perhaps some known problem? If yes, I'd love to know if there's a fix. If not, I'll provide additional information on request.

Unreleased nasm, will apparently change some preprocessor tokens seems to have a bug introduced in: netwide-assembler/nasm@20e0d61 , which is the source of the errors you see. (For now) Use a released NASM version or if you must, build NASM from the 2.15.xx branch instead of master.

Which, in fact, turns out to already have an open ticket on NASM Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.nasm.us/show_bug.cgi?id=3392747 (marked “critical”—although still not fixed despite having a patch—but, of course, I only spotted it after I knew what to look for)

Yes, it does. The resulting object files are also bit-identical to what 2.15.5 yields.
