Filenotfounderror: The system cannot find the file specified:

Hi all - I encountered the above error, probably because I had created a folder in Chinese characters. Even after I deleted the folder, reinstall khoj, it still somehows detect the presence of the folder and failed to run the app.

Any idea to resolve?

UPDATE:
After I had reinstalled my google drive in English, and reinstall khoj by pip using another python environment and plugin in obsidian, as well as after restarting windows, similar error had shown:

Hey @dcalexchan, based on the logs you shared, it seems like khoj is unable to create the configuration folder to save the khoj configuration, index files to.

• Is there a G:\My_Drive folder on your machine?
• Are your Obsidian notes under the G:\My_Drive folder?
• And do you need admin permissions to create a folder in G:\My_Drive?

Thanks for the reply.

My folder obsidian, I just checked, exists on G:\My Drive\Obsidian. I am not sure if the underscore cause the error, but my question would be if I can "ask Khoj not to look at the address", or just delete from the record that it should be the correct address.

I have also made a test code to create folder by python it seems to be able to create file if I remove the underscore. So my answer is I do not need admin permissions.

Therefore, my question is again whether if I can "ask Khoj not to look at the address"/clean the log of address?

There are two ways you can update the khoj config to look at G:\My Drive\Obsidian and not G:\My_Drive\Obsidian

1. You can (re-)install or (re-)enable the Khoj obsidian plugin for the new Vault address (i.e at G:\My Drive\Obsidian). The plugin will automatically configure the khoj backend to only index the new Vault
2. You can disable auto-configure from the Khoj obsidian plugin and then edit the input-filter field under the content-type > markdown section in khoj.yml file at C:\Users\Alex\.khoj\khoj.yml to use the new vault path. (It'll look something like G:/My Drive/Obsidian/**/*.md I believe on Windows)

I see. Did you try the suggestion 1. and it didn't work? Because that sounds like a bug. Or did you directly try 2.?

I went to option 2 first to read yaml, spotted paths with "my_drive" and changed them. And then I go for 1. to reinstall everything anyways. I did try to reinstall everything before your suggestion 2 so I reckon the main solution is from 2.

I think its bug if users are using other languages of google drive.

Can you clarify what you mean by that? Did your Obsidian vault path have non english/latin characters? Or do your notes use non-english characters? I personally suspect it to be an issue with underscores in Vault directory path but I'll have to investigate this further
