##my dotfiles
No install script (for now, perhaps later I'll write one).
Usually I clone this repo to ~/.config
and symlink all from
this directory to ~/
(ofcourse with leading .
). Finally I
create symlinks for .zshrc
and .vimrc
from own dirs to my
home directory.
cd ~/.config
git clone git://github.com/kfl62/dotfiles.git
cd ~/.config/dotfiles
ln -s some_dir_file ~/.some_dir_file
ln -s zsh/zshrc ~/.zshrc
ln -s zsh/zlogin ~/.zlogin
ln -s zsh/zshenv ~/.zshenv
ln -s vim/vimrc ~/.vimrc
Don't forget to initialize the submodules:
cd ~/.config/dotfiles
git submodule init
git submodule update
just for first time. Later you can use pathogen
alias for update bundled plugins
Note:
After I introduced call pathogen#helptags()
in my .vimrc
, vim/gvim started to complain after /usr/share/vim/docs/tags
file. I don't know if this is just an openSuSE issue, but sudo touch /usr/share/vim/docs/tags && sudo chmod a+rw /usr/share/vim/docs/tags
solved the problem.
Heavily inspired from Ryan Bates dotfiles :)
