Home Assistant 2025.1 Overhaul of the backup system

has anyone already updated to 2025.1?
I'm hesitant as I fear the the updated core Backup System will interfere with my auto-Backup setup.

I have not yet updated, precisely because of the encryption requirement of the new backup function.

It seems not to work together as described in Issue #178

Backups are working fine for Home Assistant OS (Supervised), however for Home Assistant Core (Docker) it appears to be broken.
