What is the cause of this need to regenerate this archive? Can we address this?

Yeah! Sure as v1.27 is archived we have to generate the banners for the same

For reference:-

v1.27 doesn't have a banner

Maintainers can do this through the make command say for v1.27 make build-old-archive-1.27.0 to regenerate the banner for archive documentation.

And yeah we can also see the version selector drop-down on 1.27 and not on other archives say v1.26 and v1.25

Can we tie this in to the release process? I don't like that there's an undocumented manual step required as part of the release flow. It would be nice if this was just part of the prepare-release that adds the banner when the archive is created. It will end up getting missed

@dhawton Yeah it would be nice because this creates an extra manual step. I'll look into the scripts.
