If you get a chance, could you take a look at this pull request: #30994

It allows users to hide apps from their sources list. If we don't want to introduce another config option (exclude_unnamed_apps), I can revert to my original change which allows for configurations like:

- platform: androidtv
  # stuff...
  apps:
    wont.appear.in.sources:
    also.wont.appear: ""
