Plotly.js finally paid some attention to shadow DOM support and the 3.0.1 includes the following fixes:

  • Fix click event handling for plots in shadow DOM elements #7357

They're also about to ship the compiled CSS which means we won't have to ship our poorly pieced together version but that's probably in 3.0.2
