I just downloaded e for both Raspberry Pi (arm) and MAC OSX. e compiled cleanly on both machines however I get a segmentation fault on Raspberry Pi. Runs cleanly on Mac. Just an FYI.

Okay. I have a couple of follow-up questions to be able to remotely debug this, since I don’t currently have a RPI at hand:

  1. Does the segfault occur right away or under specific circumstances?
  2. Does it print a traceback and if so, what does it say?

Segmentation fault occurs immediately with no debug info.

./e
segmentation fault

That's it.

I’ll try to fix it when I find out how to reproduce. Thanks for the report!

I can try to take a look at this over the weekend. @hackmeister could you share what model pi and OS you are using?

Thanks. I don't have my Pi2 B handy but I'll try to test it on a Pi3 and Pi Zero and see if I get the same thing.

Are there any updates on this? I might be able to take this over if you can’t work on it, @VictorSCushman. (There is no rush, though)

My bad. I tested it with the latest Raspian Jessie on my Pi Zero and didn't have any problems, but I haven't tested it on other models yet as I currently seem to have lost my Pi2B and Pi3.

So I guess for now lets keep the issue open since my results are inconclusive.

Okay! Thanks for the update! I might be able to try it out myself this weekend, and maybe add to your results.
