azurerm backend - store remote state on onelake #38948

Use Cases

Store remote-state in Onelake / MS Fabric

We want to manage some Microsoft Fabric infrastructure using terraform and would like to store the state remotely.

Since we do not have dedicated storage containers, we would like to store the state in onelake (in a defined workspace/lakehouse combination)

I haven't found docs on how to configure onelake and browsing the code it seems that it is not supported yet to store things on onelake.blob.fabric.microsoft.com.

So the request would be having docs on how to store remote state in onelake and/or extend the backend to support it. Or is there something that renders this technically not possible due to limitations of onelake?

Thanks a lot, best regards

Christian

Attempted Solutions

I did not know how to tell the azurerm backend to use onelake
