Description

I would like to see native terraform support for blob metadata. The Azure portal recently added viewing/editing this metadata and it would be great to be able to see and modify it in terraform too.

• azurerm_storage_blob

Potential Terraform Configuration

Very similar to how tags are handled for resources that support those:

# Copy-paste your Terraform configurations here - for large Terraform configs,

resource "azurerm_storage_blob" "testsb" {
  ...other config...

  metadata {
    tag1 = "value"

Working on this in my fork - current version works, just need to set up more unit tests for updates (there are none so far it seems).

This has been released in version 1.25.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:
