Plans: post-#7169 hindsight normalization — supersession sweep, two verified UX gaps, clamp basis

Hindsight review of #7169 (operator-requested), applied as corrections to the three plan docs it touched. Docs-only; every claim below was verified against the live tree before writing.

Why

The three plans accreted 2026-07-24 operator rulings in append-mode layers with no supersession sweep, so each carried live contradictions that would misdirect the implementing workers (#7162, #7168, and the UI/UX exemplar worker). This pass makes the newest ruling the only live text and records what the tree already proves.

roadmap-workspace-ux-plan.md

• The END-TO-END CONTRACT is now the single controlling text. Corrected in place: P3b's "in-flight pulse while requested" (exemplar's no-pulse holds — the keyframes wall); P2b's "status chip becomes the live state carrier" (superseded by the exemplar's separate session chip — node status × session state stay distinct state spaces); the Sequencing section (marked superseded: PR-A then PR-B, P1b parked).
• G1 recorded — session terminal states have no observable source. An exited session disappears from tmux ls; the belt cannot distinguish done-success / crashed / reaped, so rendering done/red from absence would fabricate. Three options named; worktree completion receipt recommended. Decision required before PR-B.
• G2 recorded — the tmux read-back carries no started/last-activity (dispatch_live_sessions parses name/node/windows/lease only); the observation format must grow. Real work, not "pure projection."
• Mechanical constraints pinned before CSS: per-state transform detent table (transitions fire only on property change — distinct stable transforms per state make settle beats derivable, no keyframes, no choreography); morph mechanism named (interpolate-size or fixed measures); disclosure animation mechanism named (::details-content, Chrome-target); prefers-reduced-motion as a register axis; elapsed quantized to minutes; keyframes wall extended to the dashboard emission; the serve-refresh fingerprint check made a precondition of PR-B's live walkthrough (else the acceptance demo can show stale assets — the exact 2026-07-24 incident).
• P3a restated: reuse respond_fast/reveal_deliberate (the "~150ms" was a near-miss mint); settle_spring's justification is the easing axis vs restore_gentle; the "every state change" clause is a register-law amendment (MotionTrigger has no state-class trigger today) landed with the button as first consumer.
• Dead squash hash 2ba4d8f60c repointed at CI plans: post-#7132 operator rulings — atomic delivery, derived clamps, lens-door, observation UX contract #7169's merge.

ci-two-tier-placement-redesign.md

• D4 normalized everywhere to the §8 restructure (rides CI two-tier placement rework + progress-observation lane (atomic delivery) #7162 with a branch-falsifier receipt; §9.7's fast-follow shape and §10 row 2's BLOCKED shape marked superseded); all stale PR-0 references resolved to CI two-tier placement rework + progress-observation lane (atomic delivery) #7162.
• Row 15 reconciled with the tree: the stopgap raise landed via Derive the witness execution leg from .dag; delete scripts/ and repair every carrier claim #7137 (1320 → 1440 → 1680, both operator-signed with run ids) — "no interim raise" normalized to "no further raises; clamp model rides CI two-tier placement rework + progress-observation lane (atomic delivery) #7162, hand-set rows delete then." Row 8 updated to LANDED via Derive the diff baseline from the CI event; kill the origin/main fork (§3(c) discharge) #7146.
• Clamp basis addition: the signed 1s average folds in host speed AND worker width (observed ~0.58–0.70 s/witness); the signed row must name its basis so a width/fleet change is a deliberate re-sign, never a rediscovered fleet-wide-red episode.
• Creep gets a durable home: per-cadence s/unit rate receipt row on the gauntlet (the clamp catches runaway ≥ ~1.6×; the dial otherwise renders only while a human watches).
• Clamp demotes but never deletes (the complexity lens asserts structural linearity, not constants/host pathology). Issue 11 (UnlistedImportUse fork) re-flagged — still unowned.

progress-observation-design.md

• §3a trace rewritten to the rulings it predated — plain sentences, emoji-tier glyphs, 🕐 pulse, clamp arithmetic on the refusal, and the refusal rendered outside the group (the old trace violated its own RED; Progress & observation, P0–P3: one event model, N renderers, a census wall #7168's landed renderer already makes that placement unwritable by construction — the doc's acceptance spec now matches the implementation). Numbers in the trace are self-consistent (clamp 300s + 2,314 × 1s = 43m34s; wall 45m03s; implied 1.04 s/unit).
• The two glyph lists (§2 unicode vs §6b emoji) unified as tiers of the one landed authority (dag/extdeps/render/glyphs.dag).
• Law 2's key=value example rendered per the tone contract; the belt-view vs stream-view two-source composition rule named at §3d (carried by the UX plan's P2c); duplicate ## 7. Non-goals heading removed.

Verification

Docs-only diff (no .dag/.rs/workflow changes; CI treats it as docs-policy). All tree claims verified by execution during review: dispatch_live_sessions field set, MotionTrigger variants, roadmap_serve route table, gunbc_ci_floor_batch_wall_budget_seconds history (git log -S), #7146/#7137 landings, #7162/#7168 branch contents, glyph tier shape on refs/pull/7168/head.
