type_env design note: attribution of the PR-2 slowdown and memory gate; PR-2 withdrawn - #13009
Conversation
… voids; a ruling request on the residual The thread-CPU-per-phase A/B (pr2_whole_tree_differential_probe with phase_cpu guards, branches calm-pike-525/pr2-cpu-before|after) locates the cost in typecheck point lookups. Every presence-passing lookup descended, and each level walked a pool-wide exporter list. It is not in the four listed candidates; the predictions and their misses are recorded. The repair (closure-grain classification) goes against PR-2's branch. Declaration-grain equality now holds over 7,135 modules; the 8 apparent differences are byte spans moved by PR-2's own roster edit. What remains is representation B's by-construction re-derivation, which the note's own falsifier names, so it is raised for a ruling. …eir pinned receipts (review 74313, DESIGN §6) The probe is an ignored test on probe branches, not an entry point on main. So the figures are recorded only beside their pinned commits (#13008's receipts), and this note keeps the structural findings, the hit/miss verdicts, the rulings and the open memory gate. Review 74313 is addressed in f38e6c5. I took the second option. The note now keeps only the structural claims, the hit/miss verdicts, the rulings, and the open memory gate. It no longer copies figures. It says where they live: the receipts in #13008's description, next to their pinned commits. The probe is an ignored test that needs a whole-tree resolve and lives on probe branches. Landing it as a durable — sent from calm-pike-525 |

Doc-only. This answers #12962's rule that PR-2 (the type_env derived view) is not opened until its whole-tree slowdown is attributed by thread CPU per phase on one subject, and then fixed or ruled.
The new section is "PR-2 slowdown: attribution" in
docs/plans/type-env-single-authority-design.md.pr2_whole_tree_differential_probewithphase_cpuguards, branchescalm-pike-525/pr2-cpu-beforeandcalm-pike-525/pr2-cpu-after) and records the four predictions stated before the run, with their hits and misses.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
