Summary

Test plan

  • cargo fmt --all --check clean (pre-push hook).
  • cargo test -p v3-compiler --test integration r1c_d_pb_census_gates_suite_evaluates_through_runner passes (the test(v3): R1C-D PB census .dag suite + integration receipt #1050 receipt is unaffected; only its docstring shifted).
  • Counts in r1-closure-manager.md cross-checked against live runner output at HEAD 5f405cc8e.

Trailing R1C-D coordination slice (Option 1 per R1 Closure direction at
inbox #849): record post-#1050 lane status + cross-manager hand-off path
for the five RED gates to the Pure Bootstrap to Zero program. Also
corrects the #1050 test docstring (claimed 3/6 RED; actual is 5/6 RED at
HEAD 5f405cc).

Status at landing: 6/6 fixtures authored, runner-evaluating against live
SG-0 census; 1/6 green (D.3 pb_self_compile_fixed_point). D.1/D.2/D.4/
D.5/D.6 pacing owned by PB program — concrete dissolution-work table
added to docs/briefs/r1-closure-manager.md.

Review complete. The diff is two edits: a brief update plus test module doc comment alignment. No logic, types, or test assertions changed.

Findings: None. Nothing in the diff conflicts with the referenced rubric in a concrete way: it’s documentation and rustdoc on an existing integration test, not new substrate or parallel authority in code. The “Documentation Describes Live State” concern is addressed in-doc via an explicit refresh instruction and a pinned Observed (HEAD 5f405cc8e) column, which is a reasonable pattern for a status hand-off, not an ungrounded claim in executable code.

Verdict: APPROVE — Small, consistent doc update: R1C-D status row, RED-gate table for PB hand-off, and matching rustdoc in r1c_d_pb_census_gates_test.rs (five RED / one green, gate names, PB work). No changes under review for fail-closed modeling, test hermeticity, or coding style beyond comment text.

Non-blocking — Strengths

  • docs/briefs/r1-closure-manager.md The RED gate surfacing keeps the PB debt documented, bounded by named gates, and tied to concrete dissolution work instead of hiding it behind R1 close status.

✅ No blocking concerns; this is a docs/comment alignment PR and the added status surface matches the tracked-bridge discipline.
