Major part of #323 is that gates block any labels.

Is it possible to allow collisions between labels and some icons? There is text-allow-overlap but I found no way to do this only for some classes for icons.

Good question, I can't see a way either at first sight.

Would rendering these icons after the text be an option?

Found it, the relevant property is point-ignore-placement. See the documentation.

Unfortunately it has worse effects than I expected. It is impossible to allow only collisions between icon and labels.

After adding it to a parking symbol (attempting to fix #964):

For parking it won't really work, but applying it to gates should be fine I think

Oh, I forgot - thanks to @math1985 for finding this property!
