I wonder if we really need to marshal it again here.
Do we care if we trimmed it correctly if we return it anw?

I guess for now it helps to keep track of the
events.MetricQueriedTrimmedEventsmetric, as well as display an error to see why certain events cannot be trimmed. In the case that a very large event (>4MiB?) causes unexpected behavior we can pinpoint it to this
