As note to myself and @melizeche, this PR kept failing due to the same issue as django-guardian/django-guardian#865, it's a surprise this has taken so long to fail due to random test order. TODO: apply the same patch as in that issue to each testcase using TransactionTestCase or create a custom TransactionTestCase base class that does that
