express-sse-experiment

Experiment using express with sse plugin and a javascript client

Getting started

Follow these steps to run the experiment:

• Clone this git repository to a local directory or download and extract the zip file with the repository contents
• Run npm install from the local directory
• When the previous step has completed, run npm start

The server listens on 127.0.0.1:8080, the client listens on 127.0.0.1:88. A browser should automatically open the client on port 88

What should happen?

The browser opening the client should show a welcome message, then every fifth second a message altering between "Ping" and "Pong" should be displayed
