The workflow JS job was failing during tsc --noEmit in MCP setup scripts due to unsafe object-property access patterns and brittle JSDoc typing in newer TypeScript checks. This updates the affected scripts to use explicit runtime shape checks and safer access patterns so the workflow typecheck can complete.

  • MCP CLI bridge response parsing hardening

    • Updated JSON-RPC response handling in mcp_cli_bridge.cjs to gate error, result, and content access behind object/field existence checks.
    • Removed assumptions that parsed payloads always match record-shaped objects.

  • MCP tool listing parsing hardening

    • Updated mount_mcp_as_cli.cjs to safely narrow tools/list responses before reading result.tools.
    • Kept behavior unchanged when payloads are malformed (falls back to empty list path).

  • Gateway startup defensive checks

    • Updated start_mcp_gateway.cjs to guard against missing executable token in parsed docker command.
    • Added a null check for child.stdin before writing gateway config.

  • Global typing cleanup for setup scripts

    • Updated types/github-script.d.ts and setup_globals.cjs to align with current global usage and remove stale suppression comments that no longer apply.
