GNUPG signing failing - not a tty xterm-ghostty on Fedora

I'm running Ghostty on the Fedora 41 Gnome desktop.

TERM is xterm-ghostty

gnupg agent is set to use pinentry-curses and the agent has been restarted within ghostty

PINENTRY is reporting curses 1.3.1 not a tty xterm-ghostty :0 ? 1000/1000 0

and signing fails.

Wondering if there's something I'm missing in the config

@pluiedev I'm not sure this is the case - I'm using the machine that is running ghostty directly and not using ssh at all. On that machine, typing infocmp -x shows the xterm-ghostty TERMINFO.

It's almost assuredly the case that something isn't finding the correct terminfo files. You may need to make sure that the Ghostty terminfo files are installed system-wide and not just for one particular user.

xterm-ghostty is installed in /usr/share/terminfo/x which is the global place for it, correct?

TERMINFO is not set to anything
TERM is set to xterm-ghostty

I found a workaround in https://gist.github.com/mjul/56aa1494f65b7f9f38f1aba5b143f579 as I was also getting the ioctl error.

This doesn't pop up a window asking for the password, but does so in the cli and the signing works.
