MapStore Improvement Proposals
MapStore Improvements Proposals are the formal mechanism used to manage any sort of major change to MapStore. Examples of changes which are managed by the GSIP process include:
major features
code re-architecture
community process improvements
intellectual property
This mechanism is loosely based on the GeoServer GSIP mechanism whose details can be found here.
The goal is force developers to communicate over the intent to develop new features for refactor existing ones, asking them to put down their ideas clearly and asking feedback from other developers.
