I mostly cleaned it up. Also I was thinking, you could merge this with the Ubuntu installer and make it a Debian-like installer by determining the OS with something like this https://gist.github.com/Oweoqi/a7a8f22513f82a93903b.
Added a check for root just because in your book you mentioning you can make your own user account in Kali.
