@patrick-stephens when changing the base branch of this PR to 3.1 the list of commits is huge (it seems it does a rebase of master), what would be the proper way to fix it ?

I think we need to update the CI to start from the base branch, it's checking out master so needed to be updated when we created the 3.1 branch. We should have a runbook for what to do when you create those branches (e.g. set branch protections, update CI, etc.)
