fix(cake_kda_det): gate-gradient accuracy of the GLM intra stage (diagonal TF32 rounding) - #8909
This PR updates the deterministic Cake package for KDA (Kimi Delta Attention) chunked training. The package contains the forward and backward passes. The family has these variants:
Gate form: g (precomputed log gate) or raw (the kernel computes the gate from A_log / dt_bias).
Q/K L2 norm: off, or fused into the kernel.
Backward path: saved (uses the saved forward set) or replay (checkpoint replay, saved=None).
The data types are bf16 for q/k/v/beta and fp32 for the gate. The head dimension is 128.
This PR changes two things:
Gate-gradient accuracy fix. In the backward GLM intra stage, both members of each diagonal pair term of the gate gradient now round on the same TF32 operands. dq and dbeta do not change. dk changes: its error against FP64 is up to about 5 % higher (at most about 1.11x the FLA 0.6.0 level).
Rolled loops. The larger kernels now stay inside the instruction cache.
On the fast-decay rows, the fix brings the gate-gradient error (the dg, dA_log and dt_bias gradients) down to about the FLA 0.6.0 chunk_kda level or lower. On main, this error was up to about 50x the FLA level.
Most rows are a little slower. This is the cost of the accuracy fix. The slowest backward row on every GPU is 4doc:raw:off:saved: +2.35 % on GB300, +2.17 % on GB200, +3.92 % on R200 212-SM and +3.42 % on R200 216-SM. On R200, the raw + fused L2 norm path is faster.
Row key: rows:gate:l2n:path.
1doc: 1 sequence of 16384 tokens, 64 heads.
4doc: 4 sequences of 8192/4096/3072/1024 tokens, 64 heads.
R2: 16384 tokens in 3 unequal sequences, 4 heads.
m2: 2 sequences of 2048/1500 tokens, 4 heads.
bwd is the backward pass only. fwd+bwd is the forward and backward passes together.
Each time is the median of 15 samples. One sample is the CUDA-event time of 20 back-to-back calls, divided by 20. The runs used a warm L2 and eager mode. "before main" is FlashInfer main at 79cf055, which has the previous Cake deterministic version. "after head" is this PR. An after/before value above 1.00 means this PR is slower.

The two R200 tables come from separate board classes (212 SMs and 216 SMs). Their results are not pooled.
The non-deterministic KDA training package and the context-parallel (KCP) deterministic package ship separately. This family ships on sm_100a, sm_103a and sm_107a.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Compatibility
Updated Cake KDA training packages for several GPU and CUDA configurations. Some configurations now require CUDA 12.9 or later; additional GPU architecture coverage is included.
…stage (diagonal TF32 rounding)
Follow-up to flashinfer-ai#7817. The fused-l2n GLM intra programs (glm_intra_l2n on sm_100a / sm_107a,
glm_intra_v30_l2n on sm_103a) rounded the two members of each diagonal pair term of the gate
gradient on different TF32 values, so dg / dA_log / dt_bias lost accuracy at fast gate decay.
Both members now use the same TF32 operands and cancel to FP32 rounding; no MMA is added and
dq / dbeta keep their bits. Record names and selection are unchanged; the two programs are
renamed with their new builds.
…e diagonal TF32 rounding fix (export kda_train migrate)
The parent commit changes four deterministic GLM intra programs in place
(same program names, new sources) that the non-deterministic package
ships as copies. The copies and their build.json entries follow:
det record program copy entry
glm_intra 54786ffd01bd9b6bb416 cake_kda_train_..._sm_100a
glm_intra_v14 c27b09eb5f5881be2969 cake_kda_train_..._sm_103a
glm_intra_v18 aa6b5c23c97e1cb9880a cake_kda_train_..._sm_107a
glm_intra_raw ea14e16d1fc71364ba03 cake_kda_train_..._sm_107a
Each copy is the deterministic unit with the package prefix renamed; the
build.json entries carry the new source digests and identity closures.
The other programs of the parent commit (glm_intra_l2n,
glm_intra_v30_l2n, glm_intra_l2n_capture, glm_intra_raw_l2n,
glm_intra_raw_l2n_capture) belong to the in-kernel Q/K L2 norm class,
which this package does not copy. The package's own programs, its
registry and the KCP package are unchanged.
A second migration run changes nothing (fixed point); the same run on
79cf055 changes nothing. tests/experimental/test_cake_kda*.py on CPU:
2000 passed, 913 skipped (parent: 1 failed,
test_copied_programs_are_the_deterministic_packages_sources).
… TF32 rounding, rolled drains)
The parent commit copies the deterministic GLM intra programs after the
diagonal TF32 rounding fix. This commit renders the package's own GLM
intra programs from the matching generator sources, in place (same
program names, new sources; the registry is unchanged):
record program arch
glm_intra_v21 d5fd3f7234a4266e09d2 sm_100a
glm_intra_v22 f4ea302627f05d805437 sm_103a
glm_intra_v23 8ce96eeb5b7517229400 sm_107a
glm_intra_v20c 87b73f813c841159bf43 sm_100a, sm_103a
glm_intra_v20c_r8 31fa936f5468b5749a33 sm_100a
The S1 programs (v21 / v22 / v23) take the diagonal rounding of their
deterministic twins; the R1c programs (v20c / v20c_r8) take it with
their drains rolled. build.json carries the new source digests,
identity closures and generator revision. The copies, the package's
other programs and the KCP package are unchanged.
A second render changes nothing, and the migration of the copies is
still a fixed point. tests/experimental/test_cake_kda*.py on CPU:
2000 passed, 913 skipped (parent: the same).
…PTX ISA 8.8 instructions
The sm_100a entries whose kernels use the 256-bit ld / st or the three-input
min / max declared min_cuda 12.8, but nvcc 12.8 emits PTX ISA 8.7 and
cannot build them. Those entries now declare min_cuda 12.9. Only
build.json changes.
…ISA 8.8 instructions
The parent commit raises the deterministic package's sm_100a entries
whose kernels use the 256-bit ld / st or the three-input min / max to
min_cuda 12.9: nvcc 12.8 emits PTX ISA 8.7 and cannot build them.
This package's copies of those programs (28 sm_100a entries) now
declare the min_cuda of the deterministic entries they copy, and its
own programs whose kernels use those instructions (3 sm_100a entries)
take the same floor. Only build.json changes: 31 sm_100a entries
12.8 -> 12.9. The sm_103a and sm_107a floors (12.9, 13.4) are
unchanged.
A second render and a second copy pass change nothing.
tests/experimental/test_cake_kda*.py on CPU: 2000 passed, 913 skipped
(parent: 1 failed, test_copied_programs_are_the_deterministic_packages_sources,
which holds the copies' min_cuda to the deterministic entries).
The change refreshes CAKE KDA training build manifests and deterministic KDA training artifact records. It updates CUDA minimum versions and artifact hashes, adds a multi-architecture artifact record, and aligns deterministic-training registry entries and generated bindings with revised kernel names.

Summary
KDA training manifest refresh flashinfer/experimental/cake/cake_kda_train/build.json
The manifest updates generator metadata, raises minimum CUDA versions for multiple sm_100a entries, and refreshes selected closure and kernel-source hashes.
Deterministic KDA artifact and registration updates flashinfer/experimental/cake_kda_det_train/build.json, flashinfer/experimental/cake_kda_det_train/cake_jit.py, flashinfer/experimental/cake_kda_det_train/csrc/*_binding.cu
The manifest updates CUDA minimum versions and artifact records, including a new record for three architectures. The JIT registry and generated bindings reference revised kernel names; launch configurations and arguments remain unchanged.

… accuracy fix) into the in-kernel Q/K L2 norm branch
Conflict in flashinfer/experimental/cake/cake_kda_train/build.json,
resolved as the union of both sides: the 229 entries of main (generator,
the CUDA 12.9 floor on sm_100a and the re-copied digests of flashinfer-ai#8909) and
the 63 entries this branch adds (the in-kernel Q/K L2 norm copies and
param_finalize_l2n). 292 entries. The next commit re-copies the
deterministic fused-l2n programs that the fix changes or renames.
benchmarks/bench_cake_kda_train_kcp.py and the context-parallel README
merge without conflict: they keep main's deterministic causal-conv1d
names (flashinfer-ai#8912) and this branch's edits.
