Feature: Prompt user for credentials when connecting to smb-server the first time #258
Comments
This bug is also on my setup.
|
Same here, whenever I try to access an SMB share for the first time using the Files app, it does not ask for credentials but shows an empty folder instead. When I open the path in File Explorer, it asks for credentials and then shows the files and folders within that share. After a refresh back in the Files app everything works as expected.

I'll be picking up this issue, thanks! |

Describe the bug
If I want to access my smb-server the first time, I type in \\smb-server and press enter, then I don't get asked for my credentials. But if I do the same in file explorer, I get asked for the credentials and afterwards can access the server also with the files uwp app.
