Upstream...? Something tells me it's an upstream bug, but I'm not sure

When moving Digital clock widget date and time from top middle of the screen to the bottom panel in the system tray, it doesn't pin to it and displays weirdly on desktop. Afterwards, the desktop enivronment freezes and pc doesn't move and he have to reboot to see desktop and panel. However, if you try to add widget either from Menu or Right-Click context menu to bring the date and time back to place where you want it, it freezes again where you have to keep rebooting and can't add widgets at all anymore unless you recover from known working backup or re-install operating system.

Digital Clock is a KDE Plasma official widget. Either you installed a custom widget that overwrote its slot, or there's an upstream issue (more likely the former).

Try removing custom widgets from Get New Widgets, otherwise consider waiting for 5.26.2 to see if the problem reoccurs there before reporting a bug, just in case.
