Org-mode to Anki Exporter

Put the following into your .emacs:

 (require 'ox-anki)

In order to export press C-c C-e a b or C-c C-e a f from an org-mode buffer.

The exported format is tab separated text file which is ready for Anki import. The output file contains 4 tab separated columns: ID, H1, ..., Hn, HTAGS where H1, ..., Hn is the flattened representation of the org tree. "n" is org-export-headline-levels and is by default 3.

Writing questions in Org form

Headlines H1, ..., Hn are considered part of the question. Any textual content between these headlines is merged into Hi feelds. Everything contained in the last headline is considered to be an answer.

So, for example

** Where?

   Long Long Ago
** Who?
   Prince Charming

is converted into something along the following lines:

Though simple, this structuring of questions is very convenient because it allows hierarchical construction of the questionnaires by topic. By using org-mode visibility cycling (Shift-TAB) you can preview all the questions without seeing the answers:

* Bad Guy
** Where?...
** When?...
** Who?..

• Implement TAGS
• Export selected properties as fields (also allow blanks with answers stored in properties). This would allow uniform treatment of ID property as well.

• maybe: Figure out how ox manipulates the document tree and make the replication directly on the tree rather than with string splitting of the contents.
