Description
Describe the bug
If you don't use the Android 10+ gesture hints and try to use your phone in a "fullscreen mode", when you try to send a voice message using the locked mode (by swiping the mic icon from the bottom), you trigger the system's voice assistant (at least it does with Bixby on Samsung phones), and when it does, you need to swipe up again to properly start recording. The bug is that the seconds counter (forgot the proper term for it, the thingy that shows how long your recording is), shows up and starts counting the time as if you're actually recording, which is confusing to say the least.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Disable the gesture hints in your phone to use it in "fullscreen mode";
- Swipe up from the corner to try and record a voice message;
- See how the seconds counter in the left corner make it seem like it's being recorded;
- Send it and then try to play the voice message you just sent;
- See how it doesn't have a waveform and doesn't play anything.
Expected behavior
Either that it would properly record the message without needing to swipe up again for it to start or that the seconds counter wouldn't start counting while the voice message isn't being recorded.
Screenshots
(if there's any issues with playback of the video I can reupload it somewhere else, just recorded it in a hurry)

I know it is a niche issue, but it is easily reproducible and can cause some major confusion to some users, as it did for me.
