I think this should have a release_note:fix label and be added to #60387 ?

@LeeDr this fix did not need to be backported to 6.8.8, so should not be added to the 6.8.8 release notes #60387 . release_note:fix was added to the original PR #59549. We don't normally add the label to backports too - is that the correct practice?
