I don't like the way this routing is handled (along with getDerivedStateFromProps above for setting active tab when user hits back button). Current behavior reloads the entire page when a different tab is selected. Open to ideas!

This is working very well on my side (tested on Chrome and Firefox). I don't get the page refresh.

Small nit: I think it might be nice to extract the remote cluster (like here) and the leaderIndex (below) in the reducer when adding to the store (and put them at the same level as the "name"). This way the parsing would only be done in 1 place in case ES would make a change.

Same here ("Edit follower index"). Would it be more consistent with the section "Follower indices"? I leave it to you.

thanks for pointing this out, originally I was thinking that "follower index" was too verbose, but the ES documentation uses "Create follower index" for example, so I will adjust the copy to be consistent

By adding this new route in between the 2 previous ones you broke the tests. You need to update the test file with this:

The shard stats in the details panel is inside a code view editor for now. The stats are numerous per shard and there could be many shards, so I need to think about how to better present this information:
