This is related to this issue in EUI, maybe it should be added or a new one should be created:

elastic/eui#4729?

LGTM from my side, CSS should be removed once the issue is fixed in EUI

Looks like this PR has a backport PR but it still hasn't been merged. Please merge it ASAP to keep the branches relatively in sync.
