Stats panel doesn't load data

I find Stats panel absolutely great but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work when Kibana time interval is too large.

If I increase the time interval, Stats panel just doesn't refresh. If I add a new Stats panel when time interval is too large, it shows nothing.

Problems begin when the time interval is more than about 6 months (about 180 daily indices).

I believe this is related to the occasional missing index, we need to add ignore_missing to each request.

We've retired the stats panel in Kibana 4, we're replacing it with a table panel that uses a much more robust abstraction for talking to elasticsearch.
