This PR keeps the client rest API spec in sync with the PR proposal here: elastic/elasticsearch-specification#3545

Created a docs issue here to address the migration failure: elastic/docs-content#339

I've created #124157 and elastic/docs-content#676 so the changes to the *.asciidoc files in this PR can be removed, which should eliminate the doc failures.
