For some reason commit dc5ec6f added an empty events.json file in the root of the repo several years ago. I can't imagine that this was anything but a mistake to let's remove the file.

For some reason commit dc5ec6f added an empty events.json file in the root of the repo several years ago. I can't imagine that this was anything but a mistake to let's remove the file.
