Why not upgrade to 1.58.0 for 2018b? That's what i have in my, hopefully soon to be PR:ed, dep chain for Scipion.

GObject-Introspection-1.58 is requesting glib 2.58. foss-2018b uses 2.54.3
attempting to build 1.58 fails with foss-2018b

@akesandgren Indeed, we're stuck to GLib 2.54.3 for the 2018b toolchain, introducing GLib 2.58.0 as well would effectively cause a split in two groups of incompatible sets of easyconfigs.
