change

allow >=3.11,<3.15 and add Python 3.14 to the quality matrix in candidate.yml. the plugin's old cap rejects the current Hermes runtime, even though it has no runtime dependencies.

this targets pre-release, as required by RELEASING.md. update the lock header and the two existing matrix assertions; no runtime code or dependencies change.

verification

  • Python 3.14.7: upstream metadata rejects installation; patched uv sync --locked succeeds. the 3.11 floor and 3.15 ceiling remain.
  • all 18 marketplace checks pass with a local-only NixOS exec-path adapter; i reran those before submission. without the adapter, an existing empty-env bash lookup fails because this host has no /bin/bash.
  • full suite on both baseline and patch: 448 passed, one identical failure with that adapter. the failure is test_restart_resumes_both_routes_through_entry_and_runtime_group; it also fails alone on the baseline. no test is changed to hide it.
  • ruff, formatting, actionlint on all six workflows, and uv lock --check pass.

not verified: Python 3.11–3.13 reruns, pinned-host integration, marketplace scanner and live Discord. local full-suite results are not entirely green; the pre-existing failure is disclosed above. hosted CI is pending.

upstream compatibility fixes

The metadata-only plugin joins Hermes's dependency workspace even without
runtime dependencies. Its <3.14 bound rejects Hermes's Python 3.14 runtime.

Allow 3.14 while retaining the <3.15 cap and the 3.11 floor. Add 3.14 to the
pre-release quality matrix and keep both matrix assertions and the lockfile
consistent. No runtime code or dependencies change.
