In this repo I keep ascii art that I've created for @yieldprotocol smart contracts, personal projects, and other open source projects I contribute to.
Some of the art is copy/pasted from other sources and stored in this repo for future use or to serve as inspiration. Other artist's work can be identified because it has initials somewhere near it. For example, jgs is one of my favorite ascii artists and you'll easily see her initials in the corner of some pieces. I only ask that if you use any of the other artist's work please credit them by not removing their initials from the art.
Anything that was done by me you are free to use however you like. My mission is to promote the use of ascii art and other visual cues in smart contracts.
People often ask what tools I use to create ascii art. My main two tools are:
- https://manytools.org/hacker-tools/ascii-banner/ This is the main one I use. For @yieldprotocol, we use Ansi Shadow for top level banners.
These are great to flip through for inspiration. I'm also not afraid to use another artists work if I think it's a perfect fit -- please always credit the artist by leaving their initials on the art!
I'm a huge fan of Joan Stark's work. If anyone knows her or knows how I can contact her I would love to reach out. She is an inspiration.
