The GPS recording settings of Cruiser can be accessed via [ Main ] > [ “Settings” ] > [ “GPS recording” ].

The following settings can be applied (current as of Cruiser 5.3.0-b7):

Automatic recording of track

With this setting you can define if and when a GPS track of your journey should be automatically recorded:

  • Navigation - when navigation is active
  • Follow location - in follow mode, when no navigation is active but your location is tracked

You can set either option, both, or none of them. If none of the checkboxes is active, no automatic GPS recording will be done.

Show track on map

When activated, the recorded track of your journey will be displayed on the map. This allows you to see the route traveled immediately. If deactivated, a recorded GPS track is not displayed visually.

Appearance

  • Track color - defines the color in which recorded tracks are displayed on the map; in addition to predefined colors from a dropdown, you can also define your own custom color in RGB style
  • Track width - defines the track width of a displayed GPS track; possible range 50-200%
  • Direction arrows - when activated, small arrows indicating a track's direction are displayed
  • Dashed line - when activated, tracks are displayed as dashed lines instead of solid ones

Filters

  • Time interval - defines the time between two recorded GPS signals; possible range off; 0-60 s
  • Distance interval - defines the distance between two recorded GPS signals; possible range off; 0-50 m
  • Maximum GPS accuracy - defines which GPS signals are recorded; when set to a low(er) value, only very accurate GPS locations are taken into account; possible range off; 0-100 m
  • Minimum speed - defines the min. speed where GPS signals start being recorded; possible range off; 0-10 km/h
