Webots behave weirdly

Describe the Bug
Wolrd and components are illustrated wierdly.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install from source according to wiki. Optional dependency installed.
2. Load "project -> vehicles -> worlds -> city.wbt"

it work on my machine, debian 13, webots 2025a
what is your webots version (Tool / about)
does loading it using (File / Open Sample World / vehicule / city.wbt) yied different result ?
do you have any error in the console log ? if not open use (Tool / New Console) to bring it up, and reload the world, (or maybe even webots)

You mentioned that you installed from source. Did you install the master or develop branch? Also, do you know if the bug occurs on the stable or nightly releases; or is it only when doing a source build? As a sanity check, I'd run git pull, git submodule update --init, and git status to make sure nothing got clobbered in the download. ShuffleWire mentioned checking the console log (which is always a good idea); I'd also check the output of the actual Webots command. It sometimes logs some warnings.

Is the actual glitch purely graphical? I.e. do the objects/physics in the world actually work properly besides the display issues? If not, it could point to a corrupted world/resource file or a bug in the world loader. Otherwise, my guess would be that it's a graphics driver issue. What drivers are you currently running? (Maybe try updating them if you can.) Can you also post the output of webots --sysinfo?

Edit: Thought about this a bit more. From the image, it almost looks like the world coordinate system got changed. Not sure how that would've happened on a fresh install though. Idk; something to think about :/

It was launched from the script generated by building. Loading from Sample World / vehicule / city.wbt made no difference.
The console only yield error about physics during simulation rather than loading stage.

The objects/physics in the world does not work properly as physics error yields during simulation. The vehicle even bumps up as it's heading to the sky. The local world/resource files used the source building are the same as the cloud version used by deb installation version.

Both master and R2025a branch/tag are tested. Deb installation of R2025a works correctly.

Do you mean that (master and R2025a both fail when built locally) or (master fails when built locally and R2025a works when installed from deb)? Given that the deb package works, it sounds like it's a problem with your local build setup. Just to confirm, try installing the latest nightly build from deb, and see if that has the same issues.

Alright, that doesn't seem like a graphics issue. That leaves either a corrupted file (although it sounds like you checked that), a problem with the complication process (maybe a bad depencency or incorrect environment variable) (idk what tho; maybe double check $WEBOTS_HOME :/ ), or a bug in Webots (although, I'm not sure why it's presenting like this) (in this case, the nighly build should fail too).

Two other follow up questions I thought of: 1) Does this behavior occur on any of the other sample worlds or just city? 2) Are you running the latest Ubuntu LTS or some other OS?
