With revived attendance, we kicked off 2020 with a what next meeting about how to run the club and what we'd like to read next.

Decisions we made about how to run the club for the next three months (I'm going to call this a season)

  • we will review what the club is doing at the end of each season - books need to be re-elected to be continued. New content may be pitched at this time too.
  • we aim to have an interstitial meeting to end each season
  • we will meet on the same day of the week, once a fortnight
  • if there are not 4 people interested in coming the friday before, we skip the meeting until next time - i.e. we have no computation club for three weeks in a row.
  • we will use a github issue to plan the next meeting, reactions on the issue show who's planning to come. e.g. https://github.com/computationclub/computationclub.github.io/issues/119

We also talked about what we might read next - there is an image above showing all the options and how we voted.

We chose the top five as a shortlist and took the voting to slack.
