Warning

Review limit reached

@don-petry, we couldn't start this review because you've reached your PR review rate limit.

More reviews will be available in 52 minutes and 7 seconds. Learn how PR review limits work.

Your organization has used up its prepaid credits, and credit purchases are no longer available. Enable the review add-on in the billing tab to keep reviews running — you're only billed for reviews past your plan's rate limits ($0.25/file).

⌛ How to resolve this issue?

After more reviews become available, a review can be triggered using the @coderabbitai review command as a PR comment. Alternatively, push new commits to this PR.

To avoid repeated limits, reduce automatic review volume by pausing incremental auto-reviews earlier, using label-based review opt-in, excluding WIP or generated PR titles, or requesting reviews manually when the PR is ready. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based credits.

🚦 How do rate limits work?

CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan refill rate.

For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, the refill rate gradually slows as usage increases. The highest same-day bursts are limited more strictly.

Please see our Fair Usage Limits Policy for further information.

Automated review — NEEDS HUMAN REVIEW

Risk: MEDIUM
Reviewed commit: 288b0ae07c33c6e9cdaa6d133340680fb527d454
Review mode: triage-approved (single reviewer)

Summary

PR #329 fills in the broodly project_context (satisfying the surface intent of issue #254) and additionally adds a discussion:created auto-enhancement trigger, an actions:read permission, a dry_run input, and bumps the reusable-workflow pin. However, the pin does NOT match what issue #254 requires and its version comment is factually wrong, so this needs a human decision rather than auto-approval.

Linked issue analysis

Issue #254 (Compliance: non-stub-feature-ideation.yml) requires pinning the reusable to the org-standard @v1 tag (canonical stub delegates to feature-ideation-reusable.yml@v1). The v1 tag resolves to commit d3d768da. This PR instead pins to 897e4dede3518cdd7273b9dc63e607d0d05cbdda and labels it # v1 — but 897e4de is neither the v1 tag (d3d768da) nor the v2 tag (376a4fc); it is an untagged commit (a compliance-audit fix, #212, dated 2026-06-13) that sits 18 commits behind main. So the compliance fix is misrepresented: the comment claims v1 while the actual ref is an untagged post-v2 commit. Verified via GitHub API: refs/tags/v1 -> d3d768da, refs/tags/v2 -> 376a4fc. The deviation has a real cause — the new target_discussion input the caller now passes does NOT exist in either the v1 or v2 tagged releases (only dry_run/sources_file do); it was introduced only on post-v2 commits like 897e4de. So to ship the discussion-enhancement feature the author was forced off every tagged release. The correct resolution is a maintainer decision: cut a new release tag (e.g. v3) on petry-projects/.github and pin to it with an accurate comment, OR drop the unrequested feature and pin to the real @v1 to satisfy #254 as written.

Findings

  1. [MEDIUM] Misleading SHA pin comment (.github/workflows/feature-ideation.yml:103). ...@897e4de... # v1 is false — 897e4de is tagged neither v1 nor v2 and is a post-v2 untagged commit. The version comment is the only human-readable signal of what's pinned, and it misleads a future maintainer (and likely the Compliance: non-stub-feature-ideation.yml #254 compliance check, which expects an @v1 ref). AGENTS.md requires pin SHAs be looked up via the API, not guessed; the comment should accurately name the ref.
  2. [MEDIUM] Compliance scope mismatch. Issue Compliance: non-stub-feature-ideation.yml #254 asks only to make the stub canonical (pin to @v1). This PR additionally changes the trigger shape (adds discussion: [created]), the uses: line, and the job permissions: block (adds actions: read) — exactly the three things this stub's own header (lines 12-13) says callers MUST NOT change, directing such behavior changes to the central reusable instead. Bundling a feature addition into a compliance fix should be a human call.
  3. [LOW/INFO] Security posture is otherwise sound: 897e4de is a verified immutable ancestor of petry-projects/.github's default branch (not a fork/mutable tag), target_discussion interpolates only github.event.discussion.number (a GitHub-controlled integer, no script-injection surface), the if: guard correctly restricts the discussion trigger to the Ideas category and non-bot authors, and permissions remain least-privilege. project_context is descriptive text with no secrets.
  4. [INFO] MCP secret scan (run_secret_scanning) was not executable in this run (permission not granted); relied on the green gitleaks + CodeQL CI checks. The diff contains no secret material, only a ${{ secrets.CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN }} reference.

CI status

All security/quality checks green: agent-shield SUCCESS, CodeQL SUCCESS, Analyze(actions/go/javascript-typescript) SUCCESS, SonarCloud SUCCESS, Secret scan (gitleaks) SUCCESS, CodeRabbit SUCCESS, TypeScript/Go SUCCESS, dependency-audit SUCCESS. CANCELLED entries (dev-lead dispatch/ci-relay) are the agent's own relay jobs; SKIPPED entries are conditional (dependabot, image push, non-applicable ecosystem audits). mergeStateStatus=BLOCKED pending required review (org-leads).

Automated review — APPROVED ✓

Risk: LOW
Reviewed commit: bfa9660c8e1d52bce953820284699abfe67f56e3
Review mode: triage-approved (single reviewer)

Summary

Brings broodly's feature-ideation.yml stub into compliance with the org canonical stub (issue #254): replaces the TODO project_context placeholder with a substantive Broodly description and re-pins the reusable workflow to the canonical SHA. The PR head is byte-for-byte identical to petry-projects/.github standards/workflows/feature-ideation.yml except for the single required per-repo edit (project_context). Single file, +59/-13.

Linked issue analysis

#254 (compliance: non-stub-feature-ideation.yml) requires replacing the stub with the canonical version pinned per the org standard, and filling in project_context. Both done: project_context now describes Broodly (field-first beekeeping app, Expo/RN + Go/GCP, voice-first UX, Vertex AI/Gemini); the reusable is pinned to the canonical SHA. Substantively addressed.

Findings

No blocking issues.

  • Pin verified via GitHub API: ...feature-ideation-reusable.yml@897e4dede3518cdd7273b9dc63e607d0d05cbdda # v1 matches the org's canonical stub (standards/workflows/feature-ideation.yml) VERBATIM, including the # v1 comment. The # v1 label is the org's documented major-version convention, not a guessed SHA — the pinned commit is an immutable, first-party org commit 54 commits ahead of tag v2 (forward move, behind_by=0).
  • Reusable workflow at that SHA defines all inputs the caller passes (target_discussion, dry_run, sources_file) and the discussion:created trigger contract, so no runtime input-mismatch risk.
  • New surface (discussion:created trigger with Ideas-category + non-Bot guard, dry_run dispatch input, actions:read permission) is copied verbatim from the canonical stub; permissions block is unchanged from canonical.
  • No literal secrets in the diff; only the standard secrets.CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN reference. MCP secret scan was not run (permission not granted in this runner) — noted and continued per procedure; the gitleaks CI check passed.

CI status

All required checks green: Secret scan (gitleaks), CodeQL, Analyze (actions/go/javascript-typescript), agent-shield, SonarCloud, CodeRabbit, TypeScript, Go, dependency-audit (govulncheck/pnpm/npm), pr-auto-review, dev-lead dispatch. mergeable=MERGEABLE (mergeStateStatus BLOCKED pending this required review).

Review — fix requested (cycle 1/3)

Automated review — NEEDS HUMAN REVIEW

Risk: MEDIUM
Reviewed commit: bfa9660c8e1d52bce953820284699abfe67f56e3
Review mode: triage-approved (single reviewer)

Summary

Caller workflow .github/workflows/feature-ideation.yml is updated to wire up the new Discussion auto-enhancement feature: adds a 'discussion: created' trigger (guarded to category=ideas, non-bot), a target_discussion input, a dry_run input, an actions:read permission, and fills in Broodly's project_context. Functionally sound and all CI is green, but the reusable-workflow SHA pin is bumped to an UNTAGGED upstream commit while its version comment is changed from '# v2' to an incorrect '# v1'. Escalating for a human to reconcile the pin/label before merge.

Linked issue analysis

Closes #254. The PR replaces the project_context placeholder with a real Broodly description and enables the discussion-triggered single-idea enhancement flow, which is consistent with a feature-ideation enablement issue. Substantively addressed.

Findings

1. (MEDIUM) Misleading version comment + untagged pin on the reusable workflow.
The pin changes:
`- uses: ...feature-ideation-reusable.yml@376a4fcb... # v2`
`+ uses: ...feature-ideation-reusable.yml@897e4dede... # v1`
Verified against the petry-projects/.github API:

  • `v2` tag = `376a4fcb...` (the OLD pin, 2026-05-19).
  • `v1` tag = `d3d768da...` — does NOT match the new SHA.
  • New SHA `897e4dede...` (2026-06-13) is untagged and is actually NEWER than v2.
So the `# v1` label is factually wrong. The SHA itself is valid and the bump is required (the new `target_discussion` input only exists at this newer commit; v2 lacks it), so do NOT revert the SHA. The risk is the label: a future maintainer reading `# v1` could "correct" the pin to the real v1 SHA (`d3d768da`), which predates the new inputs and would break the workflow. Recommend either cutting a proper release tag for `897e4dede...` and referencing it, or fixing the comment to reflect that this is an untagged commit ahead of v2.

Non-blocking observations (look good):

  • Pin is a full 40-char immutable SHA (correct security posture).
  • New `actions: read` permission is minimal and documented (feed checkpoint query); top-level `permissions: {}` retained.
  • `discussion: created` trigger is guarded (`category.slug == 'ideas' && user.type != 'Bot'`), avoiding self-retrigger loops.
  • `github.event.discussion.number` is passed as a `with:` input (not interpolated into a run block), so no script-injection surface in the caller.

CI status

All required checks COMPLETED/SUCCESS or SKIPPED (CodeQL, SonarCloud, gitleaks secret scan, agent-shield, dependency-audit, Go/TypeScript builds). Existing bot review: donpetry-bot APPROVED. reviewDecision=APPROVED. mergeable/mergeStateStatus reported UNKNOWN at review time (transient). Note: external reviewers CodeRabbit/Codex/Gemini did not produce substantive reviews (rate/quota limits or unsupported file type) — no findings from them to weigh.
