When a lost connection comes back, the retrieve a complete object / interface / properties tree from the server and merge it with the remembered state from before the loss, synthesizing signals as appropriate.

This needs testing.

task: Fix test-github with existing cache
f5ae64c 
Ensure that all test cases use a temporary local cache directory instead
of the system production cache in ~/.cache/github. The latter will cause
tests to fail as they will get real GitHub data.
