After a connection is [hijacked](https://pkg.go.dev/net/http#Hijacker.Hijack) it becomes server's responsibility to close the server and client connections.

We have created an issue in Pivotal Tracker to manage this. Unfortunately, the Pivotal Tracker project is private so you may be unable to view the contents of the story. The labels on this github issue will be updated when the story is started. |

After a connection is hijacked it becomes server's responsibility to close the server and client connections. This PR will ensure that the client connections are closed on the server.
