rename main branch to main #13
Comments
Hi Cullen, |
Hi Cullen,
Thanks for sharing the instructions. I've managed to go all the way through
Step 4 and pushed the renamed "main" branch back to github. After that, I
noticed that I don't see the "Settings" tab in my view on this repo
(whereas I have that access to "Settings" on repos I own), screenshots
below for illustration.
view on the ns3-rmcat repo (no "Settings" tab):

So I guess we may need your help in switching the default from "master" to
"main" (Steps 5&6 from here
<https://faun.pub/git-step-by-step-renaming-a-master-branch-to-main-16390ca7577b>)?
After that I can finish up and delete the master branch.
Best,
Xiaoqing

Hi again,
While I was at it, I went ahead and added "main" branch to the other repo
Sergio and I worked on:
https://github.com/cisco/syncodecs
Got stuck at the same place, so hopefully we can resolve both.
Thanks,
Xiaoqing
