Summary

Status-only refresh of ROADMAP.md after the rail round of 2026-10-16:

• 3.8.52 → structural work landed: combo.ts decomposition (refactor(combo): split executeTarget into gates, attempt, and loop #12746, refactor(combo): move handleRoundRobinCombo into roundRobinCombo.ts #12811), strategy registry (refactor(combo): route strategy-specific branching through a typed strategy registry (rail 3.8.52 R0.4a) #16206, merged 10-10 — the row still said "open"), classifier step 1 (ci: expose change domains from the PR classifier (one-CI-policy step 1, rail 3.8.52) #16078). One CI policy is marked deferred (RFC RFC: one CI policy for PRs to release/** and main (#8084 D1-full, rail 3.8.52→.54) #16075 closed).
• 3.8.53 → the next chatCore.ts slice is unowned: refactor(sse): split chatCore request guards and failure handling #15709 was closed by its author on 10-15 (the row still said "open").
• 3.8.55 → coupling re-measured on the tip with npm run quality:boundary: open-sse → src 768 edges (745 on 10-10), still growing.
• 3.8.56 → clarifies that the official baseline needs an idle dedicated host.
