no durable Memory (both request- and response-derived extraction are skipped),
so the model's own reply cannot echo transcript text into Memory.

**Raw video fields (#12430).** When the bridge is enabled and native video support is unknown or absent, defined `transcript`/`audioTranscript` fields also activate `videoBridgeObserved`, even after description failure or a `maxVideos` limit. `null` and empty strings count; absent fields and non-video metadata do not. Retained copies redact these fields or omit the request, and caches/Memory are bypassed. The provider payload stays unchanged.

Retained copies redact these fields or omit the request, and caches/Memory are bypassed.

On those fallback paths, valid caller cues become supported `text`/`input_text`
parts rather than nonstandard provider fields. Both request-supplied tracks
remain untrusted `client` observations, with an explicit warning that the video
was not described and timestamps were not verified against the media. The existing
256-cue/64-KiB total and per-cue budgets apply across the two tracks together;
timestamps must fit the broker's 600-second ceiling and any supplied focus
window. Invalid tracks are discarded, not forwarded as arbitrary text; a valid
sibling may still be used unless their combined budget is exceeded. Null/empty
fields add no text. No media fetch or transcription is added by this fallback.
Transcript extension fields are removed from the fallback video carrier and its
`video_url`/`source` objects. The OpenAI wire allowlist stays strict; unknown-native
video carriers remain available and known text-only targets keep safe markers.
Structured redaction shadows protect the appended transcript text, while the
original caller-owned request remains unchanged. Native-supported targets and
disabled bridges retain their existing bypass behavior.

Additional retained copies use the same observed-request signal. The raw
pre-guardrail client-request snapshot, in-memory pending request, and early

`modalityBridgeVideoMaxVideos`. For a target proven to have
`supportsVideo === false`, failed and over-limit videos become explicit safe
text markers so no raw video survives. When capability is unknown, those parts
remain untouched. Targets with `supportsVideo === true` bypass the bridge.
retain their video carrier; any fallback transcript follows the bounded text
conversion above. Targets with `supportsVideo === true` bypass the bridge.
The client request abort signal propagates through download, broker queue,
subprocesses, and caption calls; aborts stop between videos and never fail open
to raw media.
