Chalmers Cards is an attempt to ensure that every Torontonian who experiences unstable housing or homelessness has a comprehensive understanding of what resources are available to them.
A Chalmers Card is a laser-cut wooden information booklet. They detail public service information. The information is layed out plainly, and organized into reasonable categories.
The cards are durable, water resistant, and smell nice. The included elastic is intended for snapping the card onto a backpack.
The material cost of each booklet is low; Only $0.10 per card. With the participation of maker spaces with laser cutters around Toronto, Chalmers Cards has been able to produce cards at extremely low production costs; Over 600 cards as of 📆 2018.11.28 !
