The following paths are searched, in this order: /etc/ifalias.conf, /data/etc/ifalias.conf and /boot/ifalias.conf. Files that are present are used to find an alias for the existing network interfaces. The network interfaces will be renamed to the respective alias.
This is a simple shell script that should contain only iface_old_name=iface_new_name lines, e.g.:
